The SVAA Resource Center, a project of the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC), furthers the vital work of state victim assistance academies (SVAAs) across the country. In order to strengthen each state’s network of victim service providers, the SVAA Resource Center connects leaders and academies through web meetings, technical assistance, and sharing sample academy documents such as curricula, templates, and trainings.
We are here for you!
We can bring training or technical assistance to you, free of charge!
Consider letting us partner with your state’s victim assistance academy on:
- Facilitating steering committee meetings
- Observing/assessing structure & operations
- Coordinating with funders
- Providing training on select topics
- Assisting with curriculum development
- Supporting a community of practice development
The State Victim Assistance Academy (SVAA) Resource Center hosts a Leadership Symposium each year. This three-day conference is a unique training and networking opportunity designed exclusively for SVAA leaders from across the U.S. and its territories. The location of the Leadership Symposium changes but each year we invite SVAA leaders to apply for a scholarship that allows them to attend the symposium with all of their expenses covered by the SVAA Resource Center.
